Evelyn E "Cookie" Sass

Evelyn Elizabeth “Cookie” Sass, 79, of Port Huron, died Sunday, November 13, 2022.

She was born December 17, 1942 in Detroit to the late Russell and Evelyn Chiado. She married Thomas Sass on December 28, 1963 in Detroit. He died September 1, 2019.

Cookie graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn. She was a bookkeeper and office manager with Lashbrook & Smalldon PC, retiring in 2018. She was a member of the Quota Club, serving as treasurer and also volunteered at the Port Huron Museum Lighthouse. Cookie loved spending time with her family and holding true to her traditions.

She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle (Jason) Morgan; son, Todd (Jennifer) Sass; grandchildren, Austin Coseo and Tyler Welker; great grandchild, Oaklynn Welker; and grand-dog, Rip. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on

Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
