Kenneth J and Victoria P McKenzie
Kenneth James “Ken” McKenzie, 75, of Grant Township, died Thursday, November 10, 2022 and Victoria Pearl "Vicki" McKenzie, 76, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Ken was born May 20, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Duncan and Grace McKenzie. Vicki was born April 24, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Howard and Marion Gilbert. They were married August 27th, 1966 in Port Huron, Michigan.
Ken served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was later employed with a labor union. Vicki was employed as a branch manager at Eastern Michigan Bank prior to retirement and was a licensed cosmetologist.
Ken and Vicki were inseparable, together they loved to travel, cook, and upkeep the community they lived in. They would go kayaking, camping, and had been to nearly every state. Separately, Ken loved to collect trinkets and had passion for wolves and eagles. Vicki loved to cut hair even after she retired, and she spent much of her free time researching her genealogy and watching football, her favorite team being the University of Michigan.
They are survived by their children, Holly Maxwell, David (Sherry) McKenzie, and Paula (Andy) Gentner; several grandchildren, including Kaitlyn and Mallory; several great-grandchildren; Kenneth's siblings, Duncan McKenzie, Ron (Irene) McKenzie, Pat Edie, Alice Felter, and Nancy Rapson; Victoria's brother, Larry (Joanne) Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen McKenzie, and brother-in-law, Harold Rapson. Victoria was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Yearky and Marilyn Fitzgibbon.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. After the service is concluded there will be a luncheon at Grant Township Fire Department on Wildcat Road. Military honors for Kenneth will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
