Dorothy L Scheffler

Dorothy Laura Scheffler, 85, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, November 26, 2022.

She was born April 2, 1937 in Marine City to the late Ira and Louise Knight. She married E. Lloyd Scheffler on December 3, 1955 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1974.

Dorothy was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone, Scheffler Brother’s Trucking and retired from London’s Farm Dairy. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

She is survived by five children, Ellen Jean (Martin) Rabe, Joel (Melody) Scheffler, Elaine (Gerard) Senyk, Jeffery (Yuchien Chang) Scheffler and Elena Williams (Joseph Raska); 13 grandchildren, Andrew (April) Rabe, Micah (Kate) Rabe, Paul Rabe, Rachel (Rob) Gaw, Kelsey Senyk, Megan (Michael) Gustavson, Evan Senyk, Tessie Senyk (Harrison), Gillian Senyk, Benjamin Scheffler, Christine (Dylan) Pease, Gary (Emily) Williams III and Mattie Williams; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Mark Madson will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dorothy’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
