David M Batts
David Michael Batts, 70, of St. Clair, died Monday, November 28, 2022.
He was born September 18, 1952, in Detroit to Jackie (Smith) and Howard Batts Jr.
David served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. His military career was spent in Little Rock AFB Arkansas, Clark AFB Philippines and KI Sawyer AFB MI. He loved spending time with his family and in retirement, vacationing in Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten. David was a proud Veteran, who enjoyed his many pets over the years, camping and boating in his younger days and recently watching wildlife and being a “grumpy old man”.
He is survived by three children, Lisa Batts, Randy Huebos and Jasmin (James) Armstrong; grandchildren, Shae Armstrong, Josie Armstrong, Nora Armstrong and Lilyana Huebos; mother, Jackie Smith Arnold; brother, Tom (Donna) Batts; his nieces; Amanda Batts, Melissa Batts; nephews, Andrew Batts and Ben Adamson; grand-nieces and nephews; and former wives, Ellen Batts and Anna Wassenaar. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Batts Jr.; brother, Charlie Batts; granddaughter, Hope Huebos.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., following visitation at 10 a.m., on January 13, 2023 at Gateway Church, in Marysville, MI. The Reverend Dallas Berry will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
