Doris Genevieve Gardner, 97, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022.
She was born November 1, 1925 in Hilton Beach, Ontario Canada to the late Alfred and Marjorie Garside. She married Melville T. Gardner on July 1, 1950 in Flint. He died October 26, 2009.
Doris loved gardening, sewing and crafts. She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Jim) Hall, Craig Gardner (Gloria Norton) and Martha Emerson; five grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Trzemzalski, Nathan (Jennifer) Yuille, Courtney Jacobs (Andy Gaul), Ashley (Adam) Spitzner and Alexander Gardner; four great grandchildren, Charlotte Trzemzalski, Henry Trzemzalski, Rebekah Spitzner and Eden Spitzner; sister, Marjorie Hoover; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Garside and Evelyn Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Evan Gardner; and three brothers, John, Reginald and William Garside.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Roxie Davis will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
