Marie Smith

Marie Smith, 77, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

She was born March 7, 1945 in Opelika, Alabama to the late Isaac and Lois McCain. She married James E. Smith Sr. on December 30, 1965 in Port Huron. He died July 31, 2010.

Marie loved to put together complicated puzzles, playing dominos and Sudoku. She was a long-time member of Bethlehem Temple Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Denise (Larry) Bates, Yvette (Aundrey) Henderson, James Smith Jr. Ron L Smith, Tennille (Cassius) Gushiniere and Sean Morgan; daughter-in-law, Linda McCain; 28 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene McCain; two sisters, Dorothy and Mattie; and a brother, Isaac.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 22, 2022 in Bethlehem Temple Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Marvin Mitchell will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
