Lawrence James “Larry” Krabach, 76, of Port Huron, died Monday, December 26, 2022.
He was born March 17, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Melvin and Suzanne Krabach. Larry graduated from Port Huron High School in 1964. He married Wendy Brunk on April 26, 1969 in Romeo.
Larry was employed with McMorran Place for 26 years before retiring as General Manager in 2009. He had a lifelong love for snow skiing, taking regular trips up north and out west with family and friends. Larry spent countless hours restoring his 1959 Barbour boat and was regularly seen on his C-Dory traveling to/from the family cottage on Fawn Island. In addition, Larry and Wendy took several extended trips on the C-Dory, traveling the Erie Canal, the St. Johns River in Florida and various locations in Michigan, including the Inland Waterway, Pictured Rocks and the Keweenaw Peninsula. He was a long-time member of the Port Huron Kiwanis Club.
Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wendy; son, Sean (Amelia) Krabach; three siblings, Michael Krabach, Susan (Leonard) Goulding and John Krabach; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Thomas Seppo will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Huron Antique and Classic Boat Show or the Community Foundation of St. Clair County’s McMorran Place Fund.
