Sally Ann Darling, 76, of Goodells, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
She was born January 15, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Ernest and Marie Strauss. She married Wayne Darling on April 30, 1966 in Ross Bible Church.
Sally was as a graduate of Port Huron High School and was employed with Youth for Christ, Child and Family and Teen Ranch prior to her retirement. She was a longtime member of Ross Bible Church where she played piano and sang in the choir for nearly 60 years. Sally loved being with her family, and especially helping to care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne; three children, Melissa (Irvin) Rupersburg, Angella McAuley and Kevin (Michelle) Darling; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Matthew) Browning, Steven Carnahan, Christopher and Jaclyn Burke, Cheryl McAuley, and Jeremy and Ashley Darling; ten great grandchildren, Hunter, Malena, Royal, Steven Jr., Emma, Harmony, Noah, Melody, Kira and Jaxson with another baby due in June; sister-in-law, Dawn Strauss; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Fenner; and three brothers, Harvey Strauss, Robert Strauss and Timothy (Penny) Strauss.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Steve Scott will officiate. Friends may view the service livestream by visiting Sally’s obituary page of the funeral home website.
