Doris Blanche Meade, 90, of Port Huron, died Saturday, January 14, 2023.
She was born March 7, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Walter and Blanche Duff. She married John Meade on June 28, 1955 in Port Huron. He died October 15, 2005.
Mrs. Meade received a Bachelor’s of Education Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She was a preschool teacher with the Memphis School District for many years before her retirement. She volunteered with the International Silver Stick Hockey Tournament and was a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by three children, Susan Bennett, Lynda (Sally) Meade and Steven (Tricia) Meade; granddaughter, Kylie Meade; and sister, Joan (Thomas) Pawloski. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Rodman; grandson, Cameron Meade; brother, Charles Duff; and sister, Jane Gilbert.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 in Grace Episcopal Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Shadrack Owuor will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
