Mark A Wehrwein
Mark Allen Wehrwein, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15, 2023 in his home in Alexandria, Virginia.
He was born January 30, 1964 in Port Huron to the late William and Twyla Wehrwein.
Mark attended Port Huron area schools. He started high school at Port Huron Central for two years, then became a lifelong Big Red, graduating from Port Huron High in 1982, where he was a member of the Big Reds Marching Machine. In his younger years Mark was involved with the Port Huron Salvation Army. He was a bandsman, sang in the Songsters and the Messengers vocal group.
After graduation, Mark attended training at American Airlines and in 1988 became a full-time flight attendant, a position he loved and enjoyed until his passing. Mark travelled the world visiting ancient cities, modern meccas and enjoying unique foods along the way.
Mark is survived by his sister, Lori L. (Christopher) Wright and brother, William J. Wehrwein, both of Port Huron; his niece, Autumn L. Navarre (Joshua Hughes); and many dear cousins and a host of American Airlines co-workers and friends. He is also survived by Charlie, his four-legged nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Salvation Army Port Huron Citadel.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
