Mark A West

Mark Aubrey West, 64, of Marysville, died Sunday, January 22, 2023.

He was born October 14, 1958 in Dearborn to Madeleine and the late Aubrey West. He married Denise M. Eckler on June 3, 1978 in Wyandotte Congregational Church.

Mark graduated from Dearborn Edsel Ford High School in 1976. He worked for Flint Hills for over 30 years, ending his career as a Production Manager. Hockey was one of Mark’s passions, and he enjoyed playing, officiating, and watching his sons play over the years. He also liked golfing, going to the casino and playing KENO, and could often be found tinkering around the house. Most importantly, he treasured time with his grandchildren, who he lovingly called “his babies”.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Denise; two sons, Erick (Jennifer) West and Evan (Lindsey) West; four grandchildren, Harrison, Aubrey, Bennett and Cora West; mother, Madeleine; sister, Barb West; brother, Karl West; and many other dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey; brother, John West; and mother-in-law, Joyce Eckler.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Brendon Aspenson of Community Wesleyan Church will officiate. A meal will follow the services.

Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.
