John Keith Kresin, 85, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
He was born December 9, 1937 in Port Huron to the late Keith and Olive Kresin. He married Bonnie Lee Wilson on October 6, 1962 in Jeddo.
John sailed the Great Lakes on the John P. Reiss and served in the United States Army. He then worked at Mueller Brass for 35 years until his retirement in 2000. Over the years, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Burtchville Township Fire Department, was active in FOTA and EAA, and was a founder of EMARC. He was a lifetime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie; son, Mark Kresin; sister, Jan Kresin; two brothers, Jim and Jackson Kresin; and sister-in-law, Kathleen (Carl) Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Kresin; and brother, Jeffrey Kresin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in St. John’s United Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Richard E. Hotchkin will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot.
