Donald Jamison

Donald Jamison, 95, of Port Huron passed from this life to join his Lord and Savior on the morning of Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Don was born in Lynn Township, Michigan on April 13, 1927 to parents Myrtle and Archie Jamison. He graduated from Capac High School in June 1945. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Don married Elizabeth Hunter in May, 1947 and they were married 74 years.

Don was employed with Detroit Edison during his working years. He was a longtime member of Griswold Street Baptist Church. The best way to describe Don was that he loved to help others - family, friends, neighbors and many others benefited from his desire to help.

He was very much loved by his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Mary (Les) Leone, Donald (Patricia) Jamison, Linda (Kevin) Wardell, Patricia Krass and Janet (Edward) Carmody; his grandchildren, Anne (Phil) Anderson, Rachel (Bryan) Mangiavellano, Daniel Jamison, Amy (Chad) Willis, Brandon (Jessica) Wardell, Justin (Madeleine) Wardell, Alan (Jennie) Krass, Karl Krass, Kari (Shannon) Zawada and Keith (Sarah) Krass; his great grandchildren, Nathan and Isaac Mangiavellano, Daniel, Steven, Kaitlyn and Ashton Jamison, Elliot, William and Cecilia Wardell, Kevin, Kayden, Kiersten, Lukas, Charis and Jake Krass, Luke, Mae and Jay Willis, and Ethan, Logan and Lillian Zawada. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jamison; parents Myrtle and Archie Jamison; his brother, Clark Jamison; son-in-law, Kevin Krass; and daughter-in-law, Charlene Jamison; and grandson, David Jamison.

Services will be held for the immediate family at a later date.
