Terry N LaVere

Terry Neil LaVere, 83, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

He was born February 22, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Neil and Helen LaVere. He married his wife Rose in 1985, and they moved to Arizona in 2003.

Terry graduated from Port Huron High School in 1957. He worked at GM’s Pontiac Motor Division plant for 30 years. Terry was a born-again Christian, liked sharing the Gospel, the NY Yankees, Roy Rogers and old westerns. He enjoyed camping, hiking, reading (loved his comic books), church choir, Awana groups, bowling, gardening, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife Rose; daughters, Barbara (Mike) Dionne, Karen Tesnovich, Ann LaVere (fiancé Mike), Elizabeth Cummins; his son Terry (Dawn) LaVere; ten grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great-grandchildren; several niece and nephews; two brothers, Gary and Kenny; and one sister, Wanda Lange.

Terry was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, along with his former wife Carol.

A memorial service will be held at the Fellowship Bible Church, 3686 N. River Rd., on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pastor Phil Whetstone will officiate.
