Obituary

Donald “Mr. Mac” McColman, 94, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

He was born May 8, 1928 in Avoca to the late Donald and Ruby McColman. He married Joanne Stevens on June 24, 1950 in Marysville United Methodist Church. She died October 24, 1998.

Donald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed at Morton Salt for 30 years. He was very active in the Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Order of the Arrow and was a Silver Beaver. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Lexington.

He is survived by two sons, Donald and David McColman; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Corey) Jandron and Andrea, Danielle, and Donald “Chip” McColman; two great grandchildren, Logan and Hudson Jandron; sister-in-law, Yvonne Welch; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas, daughter-in-law, Barbara; brother, John; brothers-in-law, George Welch and Gary Stevens; and sister-in-law, Gail Stevens.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Curtis Clarke will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
