Nancy C Hischke

Nancy Carol Hischke, 81, of Marysville, died Saturday, February 25, 2023.

She was born December 23, 1941 in Detroit to the late Leo and Lee Melling. She married Lon R. Hischke on October 2, 1964 in Detroit. He died August 30, 2021.

Mrs. Hischke was a registered nurse. She graduated from Borgess School of Nursing in 1963 and was employed in various hospital and nursing home settings during her career. She loved to sew, bake, quilt, read and travel to Europe. She had traced her family tree back to the 1600s. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.

She is survived by three children, Jeff (Debbie) Hischke, David (Debbie) Hischke and Dawn (Ted Coons) Hischke; grandchildren, Allison Hischke, Christopher (Emma) Hischke, Samantha McArt, Timothy Hischke, Tessa (Zack) Penzien and Melissa Bratton; great grandchildren, Lyra, Emilia and Charlotte Hischke, Logan and Landon McArt, Nathaniel, Michaela & Caroline DeLuna, Liliana Penzien and Chloe Hischke; two sisters, Marilyn Melling and Rosemary Schepke; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Hischke will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
