Delores Ann “Babe” Upleger, 91, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, March 5, 2023.
She was born November 23, 1931 on the Shirkey Farm in St. Clair to the late Dorothy and John Shirkey Sr. She married Don F. Upleger on July 5, 1952 in Port Huron and they were married for 53 years until his death on April 14, 2006.
Mrs. Upleger was a 1949 graduate of Marysville High School. Throughout her career she was employed at Port Huron Paper and Century 21 before beginning an elder care facility in her home. She was a loving and supportive wife.
She is survived by her son, James (Janet) Thomas; granddaughter, Jackie Thomas (David Hall); great grandson, Eric Hall; brother, John Shirkey Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend William Wright will officiate. Friends and family may view the livestream of the service by visiting Mrs. Upleger’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
