Ronald D Tanton

Ronald Douglas Tanton, 73, of St. Clair Township, died Monday, March 13, 2023.

He was born April 6, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Thomas and Anna Tanton.

Ron worked as a chef and manager at several local restaurants including The Reef and Fudruckers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ron enjoyed tinkering, working with wood, spending time outdoors, watching TV and fixing cars.

He is survived by three children, Scott (Christy) Tanton, Karissa Phillips and Mykenzie Wesley; three grandchildren; his life partner, Kim Wesley, and Kim’s children, Nicole, Alexander, Kaitlynn and Michael Wesley; brother-in-law Edward (Karen) Sklba; sister, Linda Sklba; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family services have been held.
