Vicky Lee Eddins, 58, of Port Huron, died Thursday, March 16, 2023.
She was born January 8, 1965 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to the late William and Betty Mae Eddins, both of whom preceded her in death.
Vicky graduated from Greensburg-Salem High School in Pennsylvania. She relocated to Detroit, Michigan and eventually settled in Port Huron, Michigan where she attended and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from St. Clair County Community College. Vicky later became employed at Domtar Paper Co. LLC for many years. She then joined the employ of Blue Water Obstetrics and Gynecology in Port Huron for several years. Vicky was most recently employed by Sleep Number in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. If you find yourself curious, Vicky’s “sleep number” was 35.
Vicky was a longtime member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Port Huron. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge #158/99 in Port Huron.
Vicky enjoyed regular vacation travel with friends and her darling son, Liam, always accompanied her. She had a passion for hair styling and fabulous makeup application. She was a talented jewelry maker and when the weather permitted, she could often be found at the beach, by the water. Vicky was blessed with the singing voice of an angel and a jovial, infectious laugh. She was often the first one on the dance floor and the first one to fall asleep on the couch. Her kind and giving spirit will never be forgotten.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Vicky went peacefully to sleep in the comfort of her home. She was surrounded by her devoted and beloved son, Liam Gabriel and her loving family and lifelong friends. She leaves to cherish her memory and to celebrate her life, her son, Liam Gabriel Eddins; Liam’s father, Christopher Chandler (fiancée, Julie); sister, Sheila Bailey (Thomas); brother, Chris Eddins; sister, Melissa Eddins; (brother, Alfred Jones, preceded her in death); godson, Elio Beqiraj; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, wonderful friends and Loki, her beloved canine, cuddle and sleeping buddy. Vicky will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Sandra Woodard of St. Paul A.M.E. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Cody Carmichael, Brady Wardlow, Sawyer Stone, Chris Eddins, Christopher Chandler and Eric Oppertshauser.
