Denis A Davis

Denis Alden Davis, 87, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, March 19, 2023.

He was born April 9, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Alden and Helen Davis. He married June E. Schlicht on May 11, 1957 in Port Huron. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing in 2014.

Denny retired in 1999 from Domtar Paper Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards, and took great pride in his vegetable garden. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan. He most enjoyed family gatherings with home cooked meals.

He is survived by three children, Michael Davis of Harper Woods, Alan (Tori) Davis of Yuma, Arizona and Laura (Rick) Buckley of St. Clair; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Chase (Laura) Davis and Brooke Buckley; sister, Donella Armstrong of Yale; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris A. Davis; and brothers-in-law Ernest Schlicht and James Armstrong.

He will be thought of often and dearly missed.

Private services were held in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
