Lyle L Barnes

Lyle Lynwood Barnes, 82, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

He was born December 3, 1940 in Fort Gratiot to the late Delbert and Thelma Barnes. He married Janice Ruth Barnes on March 5, 1966 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2021 after 55 years of marriage.

Lyle served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a union carpenter for many years before his retirement. He was a life-member of Masonic Lodge #58 F & A.M. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing with his brothers.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammie (Steven) Foltz and Michelle Colden (Ron Martina); three grandchildren, Austin, Brett and Blake Colden; three brothers, Larry, Robert (Linda) and Delbert Barnes (Pam); sister, Sandra; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin with military honors at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude with a Masonic memorial service. The Reverend G. Patrick Thompson will officiate.

Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Greenwood Township.
