Rev. Lyle A Reynolds

December 4th, 1933 to April 8th, 2023

The Reverend Lyle Amber Reynolds, 89, of Kimball Township, transitioned into his heavenly home on April 8, 2023. With great anticipation he had the assurance he would be met at heaven’s gate by his wife of 65 years, Darolene, his parents, all eight of his siblings and their spouses, and countless other friends and family. Most importantly he longed to see his Jesus and have Him welcome him home as a good and faithful servant.

He was born December 4, 1933 in Kingston, Michigan to the late Walter and Mary (Templeton) Reynolds. His twin sister died shortly after birth, while Lyle survived only to face several life-threatening experiences throughout his early life. These experiences led to his firm commitment to serve his Lord and Savior all his days.

Lyle married Darolene M. Watson on July 21, 1956 in Coleman, Michigan. He graduated from Owosso Bible College and served as a minister in the Wesleyan Church throughout Michigan for over 63 years, both full time and part time. His last pastorate granted him the title of Pastor Emeritus. His gentle, kind, giving spirit endeared him to his parishioners and any one he came in contact with. Along with his church duties, he also served as a city councilman, interim mayor, bus driver, police officer and just about anything anyone needed help with. He enjoyed being outside, mowing the grass and doing yard work.

Left to celebrate his legacy are his daughters, Peggy Dell and Cindy (Dale) Frey; grandchildren, Adam Dell, Brian (Chelsea) Frey, Aubree (Andrew) Reich, Matthew Frey and Andrea Dell (Mark White); great-grandchildren, Noah Dell, Meg Frey, Benjamin Reich, Ava Reich and Hayes Frey; sister-in-law, June McRae; brother-in-law, Gilbert (Annie) Watson; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply and prayed for daily.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Lakeport Wesleyan Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Drew Mills will officiate.

Burial will be in Coleman, Cemetery, Coleman, Michigan. Pallbearers will be Adam Dell, Noah Dell, Brian Frey, Matthew Frey, Dale Frey, Andrew Reich and Mark White.
