Laurie M Maxon

Laurie Marie Maxon, 48, of Clyde Township, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

She was born February 24, 1975 in Port Huron to Albert G. and the late Ann M. Cleaver. She married Jeffery Maxon on October 30, 2015 in Port Huron.

Laurie was a wonderful mother and provided an open and warm home for many neighborhood kids over the years. She was “mom” to many who needed her, both kids and animals. Laurie was a fabulous cook and loved gardening. She was a bit of a rebel and enjoyed listening to loud music, especially the Foo Fighters.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff; four children, Wesley Nichols, Corey Nichols, Jay Hillman II and Emiley Hillman and their significant others; step-sons, Chase and Hunter Maxon; her father, Albert Cleaver; in-laws, Preston and Sandy Schroeder; sisters, Stephanie (Brian) Chisholm and Michelle (Michael) Thompson; brother-in-law, James (Cheryl) Maxon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and seven very loved cats. She was preceded in death by her mother; her former husband, Jay Hillman Sr; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Maxon-Handley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone of Colonial Woods Missionary Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Christian Memorial, Peck.
