Bruce "Gene" Ludington

Bruce “Gene” Ludington Sr., 94, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

He was born December 14, 1928 in Melvin to the late Bruce and Viola Ludington. He married Dolores Stone on July 24, 1954 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2018 after 63 years of marriage.

Gene served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at CD Wolfe Nursery form 1955 until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, cutting his grass and woodworking.

He is survived by his son, Bruce (Sylvia) Ludington Jr.; five grandchildren, Bruce, Timothy (Lucia), Stephen (Caitlin), Amanda and Misty (Lee); nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Irene (Ronald) McKenzie; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Platzer and Janet Fair; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kerry Sherlock; and two sisters Alberta and Phyllis

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.
