Ronald J Turcsak

Ronald Joseph Turcsak, 72, formerly of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

He was born on October 29, 1950 in Lapeer to the late Joseph and Lillian (Piorkowski) Turcsak.

Ron had a lot of obstacles to overcome. He was in a terrible accident at 16 on a motor scooter. His left arm had to be amputated. It was a tough road.

Ron worked and retired from G.M. Parts Plant in Waterford. He had a magnetic personality and a big heart. He had a reputation as the best 1-armed pool player in the Pontiac-Waterford area for years!

Ron loved Harley Davidsons, jigsaw puzzles, Bingo, going to the casino, going out to lunch and reading Stephen King books. He also loved to watch the Detroit Tigers, the Lions and wrestling!

Ron has been in assisted living for over 6 years (5 of them were at Stonegate in Lapeer) where he had several friends.

Ron is survived by his son, Ronald J. (Laura) Turcsak, Jr.; his sister, Judy (George Bishop) Davis; his brother, Randy Turcsak; and his girlfriend, Robin Morris.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dalen (Emma) Turcsak, Sean (fiancée MacKenzie) Turcsak and Aliza Turcsak; and five great-grandchildren, Noah, Charles, Vivienne, Bryson and Ruby.

Ron was preceded in death by aforementioned parents; step-mother, Eleanor (Baxter) Turcsak; and two brothers, Hank and Calvin Baxter.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
