Dennis R Genaw, Sr.

Dennis Robert Genaw Sr., 81, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, May 5, 2023.

He was born June 22, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Helena Genaw. He married Valerie A. Munger on December 3, 1960.

Dennis graduated from Port Huron High School in 1959. He was employed with Jensen Townsend Printing for many years prior to his retirement. Dennis enjoyed classic cars, golfing, bowling, tinkering on cars, and in his younger years, drag racing. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Valerie; three children, Kimberly (David) Thieke, Dennis (Tracie) Genaw and Sherry (Rob) Archibald; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Frizzle, Jennifer (Jack) Molinaro, Shane (Tammy) Schmidt, David Thieke Jr., Tyler Thieke (Angel Fulks), Jessica Genaw, Jillian (Shane) Spotts, Garrett (Sydney) Seghi, Gabrielle Seghi, Danielle (Bill) Warren, Brandon (Kate) Archibald and Alex Archibald (Taylor Washe); 16 great grandchildren with one on the way; one great great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline Seghi; sister, Shirley Genaw; and brother, David Genaw.

An open house honoring the life of Dennis will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Port Huron Golf Club.
