David Albert Jackson

David Albert Jackson, 85, of Fort Gratiot, died Sunday, May 14, 2023.

He was born January 31, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Frieda Jackson. He married Sharon Kaiser on November 11, 1961 in Port Huron.

David worked as an assistant manager with the McMorran Complex for 34 years prior to his retirement. He liked traveling, especially to Las Vegas to visit family, going on cruises and walking the beach at Anna Maria Island, Florida for 25 years. He and Sharon had traveled to all 50 states. David enjoyed golfing, bowling, country dancing and watching sports on T.V. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon; daughter, Anne (Michael) Leslie; son, Todd (Tammi) Jackson; grandchildren, Chase Jordan, Tiffany Jordan, Ian Jackson, Rachel Jackson and Colin Jackson; brother, Donald Jackson; sister, Linda Kars; several nieces and nephews; and Godchildren, Elise Jackson-Sams and Bonnie Kibbie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Jackson; and sister Marjorie Green.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Mark Madson will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
