Lorraine A Naeyaert

Lorraine Alma Naeyaert, 88, of Marysville, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

She was born August 5, 1934 in New Haven to the late Loren and Lydia Stern. She married Wiley J. “Buzz” Naeyaert on April 18, 1953 in Columbus Township. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2009 after 55 years of marriage.

Lorraine was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church where she helped with funeral luncheons. She enjoyed playing cards and going to bingo and the casino. She was an avid lighthouse collector. She was an amazing wife, mom and grandma (Nonnie). She will be missed by her family more than words can say.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Donna) Naeyaert and Dennis (Ahlam) Naeyaert; two daughters, Denise (Dr. Vernon) Dencklau and Diana Williamson; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Williamson; and son, David Naeyaert.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Lorraine will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will be in St. Philip Catholic Cemetery, Columbus Township.
