Roe P Donnelly

Roe Donnelly, 80, of Columbus Township, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
He was born November 22, 1931 in Detroit, the youngest child of James and Leota (Roe) Donnelly. His parents and siblings, James and Leota Ann, are deceased.
Roe served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and subsequent to his honorable discharge, graduated from Lawrence Technological University, thus leading to a ten-year career as a GM Senior Designer. He was self-employed for 40 years as a Manufacturers’ Representative, finally retiring in 2008.
He now joins in death his dearest sons, JD (40), who died in 2004, and Ian (44), who died in 2011. He grieved their loss the remainder of his life.
Roe is mourned by Helen (Middleton) Donnelly, his wife of 48 years; and close relatives by marriage, William Middleton, Veronica Sanitate, Michael Middleton, Douglas, Shanna, Nicholas and Claire Middleton, all of Ann Arbor, and Stephen, Sarah, Magdalene, Elizabeth and Rebekah Williams of Bend, Oregon.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Roe’s cremains will repose with those of his sons in the lovely cemetery at Lovells, Michigan, near the “Sacred Waters” of the North Branch of the AuSable River, where he so loved to trout fish.
