Scott D Palmateer

Scott David Palmateer, 59, of Port Huron, died Monday, May 29, 2023.

He was born October 23, 1963 in East Lansing to Carolyn and the late Bernard Palmateer.

Mr. Palmateer served several years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was stationed in Kansas, Germany and Japan, served in Iraq and was part of an international peace force in the Sinai Peninsula. He was an IT Technician for the Times Herald and USA Today. Scott attended Port Huron Northern High School and graduated from Marysville High School. He was a member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn (Fred) Pease; two brothers, Kevin (Wendy) Palmateer and Steve (Katherine) Palmateer; stepmother, Marilyn Palmateer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Brian Ake will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
