Joyleen "Joy" Jovanovich

Joyleen Jovanovich, 89, of Port Huron, formerly of Brunswick, Ohio, died June 21, 2023.

She was born January 18, 1934 in Kentucky to the late Isaac and Cletis Potter. She married John T. Jovanovich on August 4, 1979 in Olmsted Falls, Ohio and they were married for 35 years until his death on December 22, 2014.

Joyleen was a plant supervisor with the Oatey Company. She loved listening to music, dancing, being active in her churches, and enjoying beautiful gardens.

She will be missed by her daughters, Coleta (Michael) Hlywiak, Deborah Simmons, and Tammy (Robert) Williams; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three siblings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lyn Hall; son-in-law, Benjamin Simmons; granddaughter, Stephanie; and six siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 26, 2023 in Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 6658 Fry Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio, with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Jerry Crouch will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Heights. Pallbearers will be Joy’s grandchildren.
