Douglas M. Stapleton

Douglas Michael Stapleton, 64, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, July 8, 2023.

He was born on July 25, 1958 in Deckerville to the late Thorwald and Dorothy Stapleton.

Douglas was employed as a nurse-aide for many years. He loved working in the garden, taking care of his house, and watching the Tigers.

He is survived by five children, Jeff (Kayla), Angela, Amber, Kelly and Carolyn Stapleton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Yvonne (George) Davis, Cheri Hinojosa, and Kelley (Arthur) Diaz; two brothers, Grant Stapleton, and Gary Stapleton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Charlene; and sister, Charlotte.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his sister’s home, 1900 Omar Rd., Kimball Twp, beginning at 5pm, followed by a prayer service at 6pm. His Uncle, Pastor Ron Graham will officiate.
