John R Clawson

John Robert Clawson, 88, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, July 13, 2023.

He was born November 24, 1934 in Mishawka, IN to the late Lew Wallace and Harriet Irene Clawson. He married Barbara Ilnicky on December 9, 1988 in Port Huron.

John owned and operated Clawson and Associates for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching Notre Dame football. John was a dedicated servant of the Lord and was involved in many ministries throughout his life. He and Barbara currently attended Living Water Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his wife of 34 ½ years, Barbara; four children: Diana (Robert) LaForge, Therese Padgham, Stephanie (Frank) Sammut and Christina Clawson-Galassi; two stepchildren: Tatiana Sukarai and Kevin (Megan) Ilnicky; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Clawson; and sister, Patricia Larkin.
