Gerald M Willer

Gerald Marvin Willer, 78, of Lexington, died Friday, July 14, 2023.

He was born December 4, 1944 in Detroit to the late Marvin and Theodora Willer. He married Carolyn Dixon on July 5, 1969 in Grifton, North Carolina.

Gerald served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He was a heating and cooling salesman for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Croswell American Legion. He loved golf, playing hockey and softball and bowling. He sang in the Schubert Male Chorus.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn; two daughters, Linda (Gary) Jackman and Dr. Jane Willer; two granddaughters, Hope and Alissa Eland; sister, Sandy Garland; niece, Denise (Ken) Grant; nephew, David (Melissa) Garland; two great nephews; and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Willer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in St. Paul Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Branden Hunt will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy. Friends and family are encouraged to wear red in honor of veterans and heart patients.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Croswell American Legion or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
