Jerry V Lytle

August 5th, 1942 to July 14th, 2023

Jerry V. Lytle, 80, of Clyde Township, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2023.

He was born August 5, 1942 in Alma, Michigan to the late Vernon and Frances Lytle. He married Linda Perry on September 10, 1966 in Port Huron.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed at Prestolite Wire Company, was an OR Tech at Port Huron Hospital and most recently co-owned with his family Wadhams House of Pizza. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, spending time on his boat and puttering in the yard. He was a member of Wadhams Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda; two children, David (Denise) Lytle and Deanna (Robert) Marusa; nine grandchildren, Noah, Morgan (Bryan), Angel, Katelynne, Emilyjane, Donovan, Dillon, Joey and Robert; several great grandchildren; four siblings, James (Karen) Lytle, Janet McIntyre, Joann Worden and Jack (Doreen) Lytle; stepsister, Leola Malcom; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jerrold.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Wadhams Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend John Jobe and the Reverend James Olah will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
