Theresa E "Tess" Popplewell

Theresa Ellen “Tess” Popplewell, 68, of Croswell, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

She was born January 12, 1955 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Roscoe and Helen Slaven. She married Stephen Popplewell on January 12, 1974 in Kalamazoo.

Tess loved to read, do crafts and spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen; two daughters, Lori (Dean) Butterfield and Shari (Ken) Dobiliauskas; eight grandchildren, Isaac, Selah, Talitha, Elijah, Micah and Gideon Butterfield and Nathan and Katherine Dobiliauskas; two sisters, Rosie (Michael) Ayers and Christine McGuire; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Grace Life Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Matt McPhillips and Tess’s son-in-law, Deacon Dean Butterfield will officiate.

Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly
