Cheri J Cook
Cheri Jean “Cece” Cook, 48, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on August 4, 1974 in Flint, Michigan to Russell William Cook and Anna Mae Cook (Heck).
She graduated in 1992 from Kearsley High School in Flint and went on to study at Mott Community College. This path led her to a career as an in-home health care aide where she was known for her deeply compassionate and loving support for her patients.
Cheri was a member of First Metaphysical Church of Davison where she discovered community and lasting friendships. She became a minister and a Reiki practitioner; spirituality was always at the forefront of her life.
Cheri was a fierce, free spirit and walked her own path. She loved all animals, especially her cat Pandora and of course, unicorns. Her closest friends referred to her often as a unicorn because she was rare, magical, and fun.
She was a gifted tarot card and psychic medium. If you ever had a reading from her, she would make you laugh and see deep truths in the ways she is uniquely known for.
Cheri will be remembered for her strength, her laugh, and her beautiful light.
She is survived by her father, Russell; her sister, Amber (and Amber’s husband, Ben), as well as chosen sisters, Peggy Sue Carpenter-Everling and Wendy Wiecorek-Lason. Additionally, she is survived by her fiancé, Michael Radatz; her uncle Bill and aunt Terry Cook; her uncle Steve and Aunt Joyce Cook; as well as her cousins, Kristen, Holly and David. Cheri is also survived by her chosen family Neil and Carol Neurohr, who she loved very much.
Cheri Cook was preceded in death by her mother, Anna who passed away April 20th 2023.
A memorial will be held at a later time.
