Lorne Patrick Thompson, 81, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

He was born March 17, 1942 in Port Huron.

Lorne served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Grand Trunk Western Railroad and Lear Corporation for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed painting, tinkering, fishing and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his companion of many years, Debra Dorsey; sister, Trudy Kirkland; brother, Charles (Lori) Cornwell; two nieces, Tracy (Chris) Hernandez and Angie (Greg) Allen; nephews, Troy (Tina) Stephan; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 in Allied Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
