Gerald A "Jerry" Robberstad
Gerald A. “Jerry” Robberstad, 87, of Capac, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 4, 2023.
He was born December 15, 1935 in Bismarck, North Dakota to the late Arthur and Esther Robberstad. He married Patricia Quinn on April 12, 1958 at St. Louis Church in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Jerry graduated from Williams High School where he played on the hockey team and was known as the “King”. After high school he received his associates degree from Macomb Community College. He was a sales representative for many agricultural and farm equipment dealers. Jerry and Patricia owned Lum Country Market and sub Post Office. He loved watching hockey, hunting and being in the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Those who met Jerry referred to him as one of the nicest men they had met. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1960.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia; two sons, Christopher (Mary) and Timothy (Nicole) Robberstad; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brothers, Wayne (Lori), Larry (Patricia), the Reverend James (Carol) Robberstad and Theodore “Teddy” Robberstad. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Robberstad; and sister, Barbara Nelson.
At Jerry’s request cremation will take place and he will be buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice in Jerry’s name.
