Gregory A. Weis

Gregory Allen Weis, 68, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Friday, August 4, 2023.

He was born November 20, 1954 in Mt. Clemens to the late Henry and Louise Weis. He married Catherine Banyash-Strelczuk on September 29, 2001.

Gregory was a hi-lo driver for Ford Motor Co. for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his dogs and family.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; four children, Angie (Eric) Remick; Greg (Ariel) Weis, Jeff (Holli) Weis, and Chris (Angie) Banyash; eight grandchildren, Jessica and Jenna Remick, Gavyn, Grant, and Norah Weis, Kris, and Alexander Weis, and Zoe Banyash; five sisters, Cathy (Greg) Fitz, Lynn (Randy) Teichow, Donna (Dale) Bubel, Theresa Weis, and Diane (Ron) Weir; many nieces and nephews; and dogs, Penny and Sadie. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Earl Bubel.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday August 8, 2023 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in the Holy Family Parish Catholic Church in Memphis, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. The Reverend Mark Livingston will officiate.

Burial will be in the Memphis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Bubel, Adam Bubel, Earl Bubel, Mark Berlinger, Jason Teichow, Justin Teichow, and Bryce Bubel.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
