Catherine S Cangemi

Catherine S. Cangemi, 78, of Grant Township, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

She was born May 18, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Edward and Catherine MacCallum. She married Peter J. Cangemi on June 10, 1967 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.

Catherine found great joy working in obstetrics as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. After retirement, she volunteered for 8 years with the Port Huron Area School District as a NONA in first grade classrooms.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter; three children, Renée Cangemi, Raquel Cangemi and Matthew (Tonya) Cangemi; four grandchildren, Ian, Skyler, Hailey and Aiden Cangemi; brother, Edward (Maureen) MacCallum; sister, Shelly (Bill) Albers; and several nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
