Mary Lou Moen

Mary Lou Moen, 95, of Port Huron, died Sunday, October 1, 2023.

She was born July 5, 1928 in Pontiac to the late Marjorie and Lewis Sutton Sr. She married Robert F. Moen on October 22, 1947 in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1975.

Mary was employed at Women’s Life Insurance for many years before her retirement. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon. She was a championship golfer, bowled on several teams and enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by three children, Timothy (Marilyn) Moen, Pamela (Lewis) Secory and Mark (Dianne) Moen; seven grandchildren, Robert (Nikol) Moen, David Moen, Jessica (D.J.) Evans, Samantha (Brett) Schmiege, Sydney (Christopher) George, Matthew Moen and Eric Moen; six great grandchildren, Harrison Moen, Josephine Moen, Hayden Evans, Taylor Evans, Beau Schmiege and Bennett George; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend Lewis Sutton Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 in First Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ann Harrington will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
