Rosemary R. Sovereen, 82, formerly of Marysville, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
She was born September 23, 1941 in Sparlingville to the late John and Eleanor Meinhardt. She married Robert Sovereen on August 8, 1959 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2022 after 62 years of marriage.
Rosemary worked for Mary Maxim for over 35 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.
She is survived by three sons, The Reverend Steven (Ronda) Sovereen, Scott (LeiLani) Sovereen and Robert (Deidre) King-Sovereen; six grandchildren, Rebekah (Titus) Roberts, Steven (Leah) Sovereen II, Adam (Annette) Sovereen, Cassandra (Evan) Marquardt, Ashlyn Sovereen and Katelyn Sovereen; four great grandchildren, Adelynn Roberts, Shane Roberts, Cole Roberts and Seth Sovereen; five siblings, Thomas (Penny) Meinhardt, Richard (Judy) Meinhardt, Joseph (Laura) Meinhardt, Carol Meinhardt and Mary League; two sisters-in-law, Denise and Janice; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, David Meinhardt, Kathleen (Ray) Jewel and John Meinhardt; and a brother-in-law, Donald League.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Robert Streeter will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Pallbearers will be Adam Sovereen, Steven Sovereen II, Evan Marquardt, Robert C. Sovereen, Brian Herr and Bryan Balon.
