Fred Leland Barber Jr., 79, of Marysville, died Thursday, October 26, 2023.
He was born November 29, 1943 in Memphis, Michigan to the late Violet and Fred Barber Sr. He married Judy Ray on August 5, 1978 in Memphis.
Fred was a driver for General Motors for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and going to car shows. He was a member and trustee of Gateway Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy; children, Mark (Brenda) Barber, Kenneth Barber and Julie Sexton; grandchildren, Ariel, Brandy and Courtney Barber, Ryan Sexton, Amanda and Kyle Barber; great grandchildren, Ella and Kaylyn; siblings, Betty (Harvey) McClelland, Marion Crisi and Merle (Mary) Barber; sister-in-law, Nancy (Rick) Berry; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in Gateway Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Dallas Berry and The Reverend Garth Kassner with officiate.
