Shayne William Werth, 70, of Marysville, died Saturday, October 28, 2023.
He was born January 30, 1953 in Pontiac to the late Raymond and Almeda Werth. He married Benita Parmann on October 13, 1973 in Port Huron.
Shayne was employed with Eugene Welding Co. for many years prior to retirement. He loved hunting, trains, NASCAR, listening to Rock & Roll and watching the freighters on the water. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family beyond measure.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Benita; children, Jason (Carrie) Werth and Shayna (Jennifer) Werth; grandchildren, Brandon and Dylan Werth; siblings, Susan (Kevin) Eagen, Ernest (Michael) Werth-Toward, Raymond (Deborah) Werth and Renee (Daniel) Barr; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Marjorie Parmann; sisters-in-law, Michele McLain and Angie Parmann; and brothers-in-law, Ron (Annie) Parmann, Tom (Tina) Parmann and Ed Parmann. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Tanis Lynch and Raylee Kohl; and father-in-law, Don Parmann.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Scott Babin will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Jason Werth, Brandon Werth, Dylan Werth, Ernest Werth-Toward, Raymond Werth and Ron Parmann.
