Richard "Rick" Goodmen
Richard “Rick” Goodmen, 77, of Marysville, died Thursday, November 2, 2023.
He was born May 26, 1946 in St. Clair to the late Joseph and Dorothy Goodmen. He married Karen Odle on May 3, 1968 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.
Rick worked for Mueller Brass, Prestolite and Vintech over the years and retired in 2019. He was a lifelong member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and was a founding member of the Marysville Knights of Columbus Council #9526 where he served as treasurer of the McGivney Banquet Center which was run by the Knights. He enjoyed going to the casino with his wife and friends, playing golf and hosting golf outings, and supporting activities for his church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen; two children, Scott Goodmen and Lisa (Mike) Trzasko; grandchildren, Demetre Goodmen, Brandon Goodmen, Tyler Goodmen, Christina Trzasko and Holly Trzasko; great grandchildren, Major, Conner, Brandon Jr., Alani, Roman, Lillian and Kamari; six siblings, twin brother, Charles “Chuck” (Denise) Goodmen, Dave Goodmen, Edward (Ilona) Goodmen, Joseph Goodmen, Christine (Dave) Robinson and Mary Goodmen; many nieces and nephews; godchildren, Todd, Charlie and Stacey Goodmen, Eric Holman and Mike Parniske; many dear friends including brothers of the Knights and lifelong friends, Barbara and Terry MacPherson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Emily Mongeau; in-laws, Bob and Viola Odle; and sister-in-law, Linda (Edgar) Prevost.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, Marysville. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.
Inurnment will be in in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.
