Susan Guest

Susan Ann Guest, 103, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, November 4, 2023.

She was born December 31, 1919 in Coatbridge, Scotland to the late Peter and Magdalena Gilgat.

Susan worked in electronics in Glasgow during WWII before immigrating and becoming a proud citizen of the U.S. She was employed with the Port Huron Area School District for many years and then was the coordinator for the Port Huron Township Recreation Department. Susan was a member of the Blue Water Garden Club. Her love of nature was represented in her paintings, beautiful embroidery, rug hooking and tapestries. She was well loved and will be missed. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Marwood for making her feel loved and safe in their care.

She is survived by her son, Chaz Guest; two daughters, Pauline (Warren) Flynn and Laurie Guest; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her most special friend, Kathy Mahar. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles.

Private family services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marwood Nursing and Rehab Art Therapy Department.
