Mary June Knowlton, 93, of Fort Gratiot, died Sunday, November 5, 2023.
She was born February 23, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Lawrence W. and Dorothy M. Pedrotti. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman F. Knowlton on May 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2007 after 59 years of marriage.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of Port Huron High School. She was a proud homemaker who lovingly raised her six children and enjoyed cooking for the family and gardening. Later in life, Mary worked in programming with the St. Clair County Council on Aging. She and Norman were former members of B.P.O.E. Lodge # 343.
Mary is survived by five children, Doug (Susan) Knowlton, Jeffrey Knowlton, Patricia (Harold) Schultz, Julie Knowlton and Chris (Shelly) Knowlton; daughter-in-law, Jo Ellen Knowlton; 20 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Knowlton; and two siblings, Patricia Brandow and William Pedrotti.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Hillside Wesleyan Church. Pastor Nate Neihof will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township at a later date.
