Faye E. Cowan

Faye Evelyn Cowan, 94, of Marysville, died Sunday, November 5, 2023.

She was born December 7, 1928 in Port Huron to the late George G. and Hazel M. Wehner. She married Robert Russell Cowan, Jr. on December 10, 1949 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Port Huron and they were married for 67 years until his death on April 2, 2017.

Faye was a seamstress at City Awning before retiring. She and her husband loved cooking holiday meals and spending time with and talking to their children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with Robert, baking, sewing and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by three daughters, Barb Sharp, Dinah (John) Brown and Colleen (Jeff) Dodson; two sons, Tim (Vicky) Cowan and Kelly Cowan; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Robert P. and Brian R. Cowan; a grandson, Scott E. Dodson; her parents; two sisters, Alice Janish and Doris Brennan; and a brother, Donald Wehner.

Private family graveside services were held at the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron.
