Carl David Bowers, Jr., 75, of Port Huron, died Thursday, November 30, 2023.
He was born June 13, 1948 in Detroit to the late Dorothy and Carl Bowers, Sr.
Carl served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. After his service he was employed with SEMCO and then FedEx until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, shopping at T.J. Maxx, traveling to Traverse City and boating.
He is survived by his son, Louis Bowers; four grandchildren; sister, Karen Haderer; many nieces and nephews, including Dawn (Theo) Decker, Pam Leman and Paul Leman; great nieces and great nephews, including Breanna Leman, Joshua Bershon, Jessica Bershon, Katherine Leman and Ben Leman; brothers-in-law, Warren Leman and Fred Wilson; and sister-in-law, Ann Bowers. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Bowers, Dorothy Leman and Bonnie Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 in Westminster Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Tim Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Croswell Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
